Our letter to Chinese Ministry of Agriculture re: their review of their livestock catalogue

The MOA in China has taken public comment on their proposed new livestock list, and in an historic move, proposed to remove most wildlife species from it, effectively banning the consumption of wildlife.

However, 13 species still remain on the list which are of particular interest to, for example, the lucrative multi-billion dollar fur trade. Our letter points out the scientific, social and biological value of these species, and asks for them also to be removed from the livestock catalogue.
