End the use of Dolphins in travelling circuses

Dear Excellency

I am writing to express my deep concern with regards to the continued exploitation of dolphins being used for entertainment in travelling circuses.

In February 2013, I was delighted to read of your commitment to close these attractions, this decision would ensure the welfare of the dolphins will be improved and prevent any subsequent capture of wild dolphins to supply this industry in your country. I am concerned to hear that, to date, no dolphins have been confiscated and the circus performances continue.

I urge you to implement your ruling, not to renew the permits for these dolphin shows, and confiscate the dolphins for rehabilitation back into the wild as soon as possible.
